Benefits Of 2022 Audi RS E-Tron GT

2022 Audi RS e-Tron GT is the production model of the Audi e-Tron GT, a fully electric supercar concept which debuted at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. It is able to go from 0-100 km/h in 3.2 seconds and has an all-electric range of more than 500 kilometres (300 miles) in WLTP tests on the NEDC cycle.

The car seats four people and is fitted with quattro permanent all-wheel drive, as per RS tradition. The motors are spread across both axles for added grip and one central driver for added weight distribution at the rear axle to improve handling characteristics.

Benefits of 2022 Audi RS e-Tron GT

1. It features a set of unique wheels and tires: 245/30 ZR 20 at the front and an outrageous 315/25 ZR 21 at the rear. The wheels are made from a single billet, rendering them both lightweight and less prone to deformation.

2. Homologation for road use is expected to occur some time in late 2022, with an on-sale date projected for late 2023, a little more than two years after the concept’s debut. It will be built in Ingolstadt alongside its conventionally powered cousin. Both will also be assembled at Audi’s Neckarsulm plant in Germany

3. With an electric motor at each of the four corners, the RS e-Tron GT has all-wheel drive, with one central driver for added weight distribution at the rear axle to improve handling characteristics. These motors develop a combined 700 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, making it capable of propelling the car from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price in excess of US$250,000.

5. Like all RS models, the Audi e-Tron GT employs a Haldex-based rear differential for maximum traction. The unit allows forward rotation of the rear axle relative to the front axle, producing a natural yaw mechanism and improving handling stability in curves. In order to stabilize the car during hard acceleration, it is equipped with a reverse gear that can be engaged at speeds above 20 mph.

6. The Audi e-Tron GT features two front electrically operated multi-menu headlights (SL and SLA) with advanced Matrix LED technology, as well as a set of OLED technology tail lights with an integrated brake light in the form of two single taillights (T1 and T2).
